Mr Zack was a legend. He helped so many students find their way. Many many stories I have about Zack, but I guess the most memorable was the 9 ft python that was loose in our house for a few months. As crazy as that was I appreciate all he did to foster my son’s love of animals, science and all the responsibilities that come with that. And as much as I could have done without the 6 snakes he dropped off the following year, it taught my sons so much. His influence and presence in my son’s lives is something I’ll always be grateful for. Here we are 35 years later and he’s still making a difference. My son followed in his footsteps now teaching at the same school where we first met Mr Zack. Zack was also our neighbor and would always make us laugh when we saw him. Our condolences go out to him family especially his lovely daughters.

Mr. Zack was one of those unique teachers you never forget. He had such a big heart and a wild sense of humor, but what I remember most is how much he cared. He showed up for me in high school and helped change my path for the better. If it wasn't for him I would have never graduated high school from going to glide memorial to playing hockey and dodgeball and him showing me how to tie my tie for prom .. always looked forward to his class.. he was such a amazing teacher and person. To his family: please know that his legacy lives on in the hundreds of students he helped. He will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace Zack untill we meet again —Jason Javed Village High class of 2010
