United States Navy veteran Captain Robert A. Lawton passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of dedication, excellence, and unwavering loyalty. He proudly served his country for 34 years in the Navy, building a distinguished military career marked by honor and commitment. In addition to his military service, he was an accomplished periodontist whose skill, professionalism, and attention to detail placed him among the finest in his field.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Linda, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and adventure. Together they enjoyed traveling, skiing, and appreciating the finer things in life.
He was a loving father to Michelle, Rick, Chris, and Genevieve, and cherished the extended family they built together, including Doug Daugherty, Nicole Lawton, Mabel Lawton, and Devon Quinn. He was also a proud grandfather to McKenna, Camryn, Drew, Jeremy, Robert, and Patrick, all of whom brought him great joy and pride.
He is also survived by his only sister, Wanda Lutostanski, with whom he shared a lifelong family bond.
Those who knew him will remember his strong sense of commitment, loyalty, and the high standards by which he lived his life. His presence, guidance, and dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed.
