Marilyn R. Wright
Oct. 16, 1944-April 26, 2013
Pleasanton, California
Marilyn Rita Egelhofer-Wright went to be with our Father in Heaven on 4/26/13. She was born Oct. 16, 1944 in Palo Alto, CA to Raymond & Rita Egelhofer.
She is already missed greatly by her children Matthew (Liz) Wright and Beth (Joel) Wright-McCarty. Nephew, Raymond (Megan) Egelhofer-Tracy. Her grand-children, Michael, Casey-Elizabeth and Shane, were all adored, along with her great-niece, Lorelei. Our mom will also be missed by numerous other family members and friends.
Although our mom battled cancer multiple times, and of varying types over the years, she died of natural causes at home because her body was just ?plain tired?.
She lived in Pleasanton, CA for most of her adult life and loved the community of friends she had there. Mom was a feisty fighter of cancer and although she was weak in the body from past treatments she continued to work full-time for AT&T as a Financial Analyst until her death. We are also proud to say she was an accomplished CPA and private tax accountant.
Our mom enjoyed travel and has been all over the world on cruises and various trips mostly with her grand-daughter as her faithful travel companion. Mom was intrigued by different cultures and loved to see what was out there. She was a ?researcher? of everything and a criminal drama buff. Mom also enjoyed organizing and attending her class reunions. She was adventurous and was even planning on going skydiving again next year. Mom?s spirit of adventure leaves us with many fond memories and stories to tell.
To honor our mom?s life and memory we will be meeting in Pleasanton, CA on June 2nd at 12:00 noon. If you are interested in joining us for this casual gathering of remembering and sharing, please email for details hoofhearted1967@yahoo.com.
