Robert (Bob) Gardner, 81, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Fairfield, CA. He was born in Louisville, KY to Irma and Clifton Gardner, both deceased. He had an older brother, Roy, who is also deceased.

Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan Gardner; his three children, Robyn (Gardner) Frendberg, Gregory Gardner, and Todd Gardner; and his three grandchildren, Joshua Frendberg, Cole Gardner, and Jaxson Gardner.

Bob was a longtime resident of Pleasanton, CA, and a retired Lt. Col. in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved travel, photography, puns, gadgets, guitar, warm weather, and his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 1pm at Graham Hitch Mortuary in Pleasanton, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation in Bob’s honor.
