Michael R. Feaster passed away on February 15, 2025, in Raleigh, North Carolina at 76 years of age. Michael's life was marked by intellectual curiosity, a sense of adventure, and a deep commitment to his faith.

He was born on March 10, 1948, in Winfield, Kansas to parents Doyle M. Feaster, WWII Veteran and Lucille Bruce Feaster. He attended Winfield high school where he married Marcia Lee Powell and had a son, Timothy.

He later relocated to Hayward, California to live with his Aunt Ruby Bruce Pease and Uncle Jim Pease and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Michael later married Eve L. Castleberry and they moved to Harrisburg, Oregon and lived near the Castleberry family. While there they had two children, Korina and Michael D.

In 1974 Michael got a job with the technology company Varian, and they moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area. Although Michael was self-taught, he successfully worked alongside many peers who had earned PhD's. His high intelligence and love of learning always set him apart. His career gave him great satisfaction and joy in his life, and he spent most of it working in the medical field, repairing oncology and cancer treatment equipment.

Michael lived in many towns in Northern California including Sunnyvale, Menlo Park, Pleasanton, and Manteca. He owned a consulting business, Feaster Associates and was successful in his field of Oncology equipment repair. During these years he had three more children, Terry Val, Danielle, and Russell.

Michael relocated to Missouri in 1987 where he owned an oncology consulting business, XTE Inc, and other small businesses in the town of Humansville and his family lived in Bolivar.

Michael found joy in religion, science, and nature. He loved animals and owned dogs as well as feeding the rabbits, kangaroo rats, birds and deer that showed up regularly at his home. He had a contagious sense of adventure and liked exploring regions in the US and visited Mexico, Belgium, and Brazil.

Michael is survived by his wife Gayle Heslop of 25 years and by his six children: Timothy, Korina, Michael (Ashley), Terry Val (Erik), Danielle (Greg), and Russell (Brianna). He was also a father figure to Lori Santillion. He is survived by grandchildren (12), great grandchildren (6) and nieces and nephews and his shared wife's family of children (5), grandchildren (25) and great grandchildren (12). Michael is also survived by his sister Stephanie Feaster Snowardt (Richard); and now joins his departed mother Lucille (1991), father Doyle M. (1995), older brothers Doyle G. (2021) and Neal (2022).

Michael was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his faith was his guiding light throughout his adult life. Michael was laid to rest at the Historic Oakwood Cemetery on February 24, 2025 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
