It is with profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Dr. Lynn Richard Anspaugh on September 13, 2026 in Henderson, Nevada. His beloved wife Larisa was by his side. Lynn was born in Rawlings, WY to Alice and Solon Anspaugh on May 25, 1937 and was 89 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Larisa Anspaugh, stepdaughter Olga Kornyushyna and brother Bruce Anspaugh of California.

Dr. Lynn Anspaugh received his BA from Nebraska Wesleyan University, MA and Ph.D. In Biophysics from the University of CA, Berkeley. He had a prominent career over 3 decades at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as an Environmental Scientist and Biophyicist. His last position at LLNL was Director of the Dose Reconstruction Program. He later went on to serve as a Research Professor at the University of Utah. He continued for many years as a consultant. Dr. Anspaugh had well over 220 scientific publications and his work/publications were cited more than 2,700 times. His research covered the areas of aeolian resuspension of toxic materials, radiation-dose-model development, and risk assessment.
