It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Samuel Crosby, who left us peacefully on July 30th, 2025, at the age of 88. Joe’s life was marked by devotion to his family, a passion for music, and a deep appreciation for the joys found in life’s simple pleasures.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Joan Crosby and his two sons (Christopher) Dennis and Peter Joseph.

Joe and Nancy were married on May 18, 1963 in Nancy’s hometown of Sioux City, Iowa and raised their family in the California Bay Area. The family moved to Pleasanton in 1977 where Joe and Nancy have been ever since.

Joe enjoyed a successful career as a commercial banking executive but those who knew him best knew his real passions were music, especially jazz, and baseball. He played the clarinet, saxophone and piano and could frequently be found performing on tenor saxophone with local jazz big-bands.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday 8/14/2025 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Pleasanton at 1:00pm.
